Brian O'Brien

Brian O’Brien practiced in two Dublin firms before setting up his own firm in 1997.

Brian specialises in civil and commercial litigation with a particular expertise in debt recovery. He is a past lecturer/tutor and litigation examiner in the Law Society.

Appointed a Commissioner for Oaths in 1989, Brian was appointed a Notary Public by the Chief Justice in 2007.

Brian graduated with a BComm from UCD, Dublin, in 1980 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1985. Brian comes from a family steeped in legal tradition in Dublin going back three generations.His mother and two uncles were lawyers and his mother’s aunt Helena was the first woman to qualify as a Solicitor in Ireland in 1931. She was also the first woman to be appointed a Commissioner for Oaths in England and Ireland.

Joseph Comyn

Joe is 40 years a Solicitor, having qualified as a Solicitor in 1976. In 1982 he joined John P. Redmond & Co. He took over John P.Redmond & Co in a joint partnership in 1991 and built up an extensive knowledge and business practice in both Plaintiff and Defence Litigation with an emphasis on Medical Negligence Claims.

Joe has also acted for a number of Commercial Clients advising on Commercial Law, Conveyancing and Probate Law.

Diplomas held by Joe include :- Applied European Law; Applied Finance Law; Advanced Advocacy and a Diploma in Commercial Conveyancing and Commercial Litigation .

Louise Bennett

Louise Bennett graduated with a BA in Sociology and Economics from UCD. Louise then went on to complete a postgraduate degree in Legal Studies in the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2004, before qualifying as a Solicitor in February 2009.

Louise deals with all areas of law but particularly with Litigation , Debt Recovery, Family law, Employment, Wills, Probate and Estates.

In her spare time Louise is an active Triathlete and also enjoys volunteering at Barretstown.

Michelle Collins

Michelle Collins ,qualified as a Solicitor in 2002.Michelle graduated from the University of Limerick with a BA in Law and European Studies in 1998. MIchelle also holds a diploma in Commercial Conveyancing.

She joined Brian O'Brien Solicitors in 2001. Michelle advises on all aspects of Conveyancing, Landlord and Tenant issues and Probate.
